We had a great stay. We had a large group and comfortably enjoyed the space. The game room was a nice touch. The wrap around decks on the second and third floors were so peaceful and have great views on the mountains.

Every year we try and go on a family vacation and I believe this has been our favorite place to stay in so far. Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. Loved the huge island/table. Erik was very responsive when I had questions. We had a bear visit each night. The only complaint is we didn’t get to stay longer.

Planning your Smoky Mountain getaway should be exciting, not complicated. We've answered some of the questions guests ask most often to help make planning your stay a little easier. Still need help? We're always happy to hear from you.

Why book directly?
Because more of your vacation budget should go toward making memories! Booking directly through Rent Smoky Mountains can save you 10–15% or more compared with booking through Airbnb or VRBO, depending on the reservation. You'll also enjoy direct communication, personal attention, and a straightforward booking experience. Same wonderful homes, better value.

What is the minimum age to book?
The primary booking guest must be at least 25 years old and must stay at the property for the entire reservation. We require a government-issued ID for age verification within 24 hours of booking. Third-party reservations are not accepted.

Do I need to sign a rental agreement?
Yes. We require a signed rental agreement and cancellation policy within 24 hours of booking. For everyone's protection, the booking account, government-issued ID, signed agreement, and payment card must all be in the primary booking guest's name.

Are your Smoky Mountain cabins pet-friendly?
Our properties are pet-free due to allergy considerations. If you require a service animal accommodation, please contact us before booking to discuss the applicable policy.

How many people can stay in each cabin?
Each home has its own maximum occupancy based on its size, sleeping arrangements, and applicable requirements. Children and infants count toward occupancy limits, as do daytime visitors. You can find the maximum occupancy for each home here: Blue Bear Lodge – Sleeps 8 Water Bear – Sleeps 12 Water Fox – Sleeps 12 All Decked Out – Sleeps 24 Please make sure your entire group fits within the property's maximum occupancy before booking.

Do your cabins have private indoor pools?
Two of our homes feature private indoor pools: Water Bear – Private indoor pool, game room, theater, and hot tub. Water Fox – Private indoor pool, theater, game room, and hot tub. Blue Bear Lodge and All Decked Out offer access to seasonal community pools, generally open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Please see the individual listing for details.

Is there a security deposit?
We require a refundable credit card pre-authorization, also called a security hold. The amount is $100 or $500 depending on the property. It is not a charge unless damages or other applicable violations occur. Release timing also varies by property, so please review your rental agreement for the specific details.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in details and your unique door access code will be provided before arrival. All properties offer convenient self-check-in. Check-in is at 4pm. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. This allows our cleaning team time to thoroughly prepare the home for arriving guests.

Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an upgrade fee, depending on our cleaning and reservation schedules. Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability. We recommend contacting us ahead of time so we can check what's possible.

How close are your cabins to Dollywood and other attractions?
Our homes offer convenient access to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, shopping, dining, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Locations vary, so we encourage you to check the individual property listing for specific distances and directions.

What if something needs attention during my stay?
Please reach out as soon as you notice an issue. We'll do our best to address it promptly and coordinate repairs or assistance when needed. Your comfort matters, and we want you to enjoy your time in the Smokies.

What supplies are provided?
Each cabin comes equipped with linens, towels, and a starter supply of essential household items, including paper products, soaps, and cleaning supplies. These are intended to get your vacation started. Depending on the length of your stay and group size, you may need to purchase additional supplies.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are provided before you complete your reservation and are included in your rental agreement. Policies may vary depending on the booking terms selected. We encourage guests to review the policy carefully before booking and consider travel insurance for unexpected changes.

Are there security cameras at the properties?
Exterior security cameras are installed for property protection and guest safety. They monitor exterior areas only and are disclosed in the individual property listings. There are no cameras inside living spaces. Tampering with, disabling, obstructing, or covering security cameras is strictly prohibited. Any interference with security equipment may result in additional fees and/or termination of the reservation.

What should I know about driving in the Smoky Mountains?
Mountain roads and weather can be unpredictable, particularly during winter. Some properties have steeper driveways or mountain access roads. During winter weather, we recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle and appropriate tires or traction equipment. Please review the individual property listing for specific access information.
